Glass replacement should Not be dismissed as simply a weather-tight instrument of clear vision. This is especially true when dealing with vehicle Windshields. Today's uni-body vehicles rely on windshields as an integral component of structural integrity.

In the event of a Roll-over, a properly installed windshield will help prevent the vehicle's roof from collapsing in on passengers. Passenger side airbags that "blowout" improperly installed windshields offer no protection (and in fact, become a safety hazard) to vehicle occupants. Proper installation notwithstanding, substandard glass poses its own separate set of safety hazards.
